Blue was selected as a background and the metal silver was used for the design of our burgee. A life ring signifies safety in boating, a primary purpose of USPS. To get away from the appearance of a flag with a hole in it, a simple vertical chevron wa
s added. This was taken from the Army sleeve insignia and denotes a first class organization. Orlando is proud of their "First Class" safe boating group and it has been a vital part of safer boating in central Florida.
